COVID-19 Relief

The COVID-19 pandemic placed unprecedented pressure on India’s healthcare system, particularly during the severe second wave in 2021, when oxygen shortages and limited medical infrastructure put countless lives at risk. In response, Prabhaav Foundation undertook a series of timely interventions to strengthen healthcare delivery and support vulnerable communities across the country.

With the support of ICICI Lombard and GIC Ltd., the Foundation distributed 400 oxygen concentrators across key states, including Delhi NCR, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra. These were provided to hospitals, state authorities, Primary Health Centres (PHCs), and Community Health Centres (CHCs), significantly enhancing their ability to manage critical cases. Additionally, essential medical equipment such as oximeters, ECG machines, and thermometers was supplied to underserved regions like Ranikhet (Uttarakhand), Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

Recognising the immense pressure on frontline workers, the Foundation extended support to the Delhi Police and district administrations by distributing PPE kits, sanitisers, basic medicines, and monitoring devices. Further strengthening public health efforts, a free COVID-19 vaccination drive was organised in Gurugram, Haryana, in collaboration with Ananta Hospital, benefiting 1,000 individuals, particularly construction workers and migrant populations.

The “War Against COVID-19 / Stay Safe Kit – The New Normal” campaign, launched with ICICI Lombard, facilitated the distribution of 5,000 sanitisation kits while promoting awareness of COVID-appropriate behaviour.

These efforts contributed to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), ensuring equitable access to critical healthcare support during a time of crisis.
