Fit India Kit Distribution

On International Women’s Day, ICICI Lombard, in partnership with Prabhaav Foundation, organized a Fit India Kit Distribution Drive in New Delhi to promote women’s empowerment through sports. Guided by the vision “Khelega India to Badega India,” the initiative aimed to encourage greater participation of women in athletics and highlight the importance of fitness and opportunity at the grassroots level.

The programme recognized the growing presence of women in Indian sports and celebrated accomplished athletes such as Pinky Kumari and Komal Phogat, who have represented India internationally. Their achievements served as an inspiration for young, aspiring sportswomen.

As part of the drive, 50 women athletes received specially curated fitness kits to support their training and well-being. Each kit included essentials such as dumbbells, sports shoes, a toning band, skipping rope, face towel, water bottle, sanitizer, masks, and a sports bag. These kits were designed to provide practical support while motivating recipients to pursue their goals with confidence.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals—SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities)—the initiative underscored the role of sports in fostering health, inclusion, and empowerment.
