Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, Project NIRANJALI is a meaningful initiative aimed at improving access to safe drinking water for school children across India.

Safe and clean drinking water is essential for protecting children from water-borne illnesses, improving school attendance, and creating a healthier learning environment. In partnership with ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company, the project has been implemented in over 700 educational institutions, benefiting more than 600,000 students nationwide.

The initiative supports SDG 3 by promoting better health outcomes and reducing the risk of disease caused by unsafe water. At the same time, it advances SDG 6 by improving the availability and quality of drinking water within school campuses.

Key interventions under the project include the installation of water purification systems and regular water quality testing to ensure water safety and potability. Partnerships with trusted providers such as Eureka Forbes and Kent RO Systems have helped deploy dependable purification technologies in schools.

Beyond infrastructure support, Project NIRANJALI also focuses on awareness building and capacity development, encouraging schools and communities to adopt sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) practices. Through this integrated approach, the project is helping create healthier, safer, and more sustainable school environments for children.
