Vision for All

Good vision is essential for learning, earning, mobility, and living with dignity. Yet, access to timely and affordable eye care remains a challenge for many underserved communities across India. Addressing this gap, our Eye Care Initiative delivers preventive, diagnostic, and supportive vision services directly to vulnerable populations, ensuring that no one is left behind due to lack of access.

Aligned with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, the initiative recognizes eye health as a critical component of overall community wellness. It focuses on expanding healthcare outreach and making basic yet essential eye care services accessible to individuals irrespective of their geographic or socio-economic circumstances.

Over the years, we have organized extensive eye screening camps across the country, reaching more than 43,000 individuals. Conducted by qualified ophthalmologists and supported by partners such as Hindustan Charity Trust, HCL, PB Fintech, Manikchand, JSL Jajpur, and ICICI Lombard, these camps offer comprehensive services including screenings, free medicines, eye drops, spectacles, and referrals for advanced treatment when required.

One significant intervention targeted truck drivers in Jajpur, a group for whom clear vision is directly linked to both livelihood and road safety. Supported by Jindal Stainless Foundation, the program benefited 2,500 drivers, distributed over 700 spectacles, and identified nearly 40 individuals requiring further medical care.
By reducing barriers to eye care, the initiative advances SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, fostering healthier, safer, and more productive communities.
