Turning Waste Into Worth

At Prabhaav Foundation, we are committed to addressing two pressing environmental challenges, stubble burning and tyre waste, through innovative, community-focused solutions that create value for both people and the planet.

Recognizing the severe impact of stubble burning on air quality, soil health, and public well- being, we launched an initiative that supports farmers with a practical alternative. By purchasing agricultural stubble directly from fields at a fair price, we help discourage open burning while creating an additional source of rural income. The collected stubble is then transformed into eco-friendly nutrient-rich planting pots, enriched with cow dung manure and encased in clay. These pots promote healthier plant growth, improve soil fertility, retain moisture, and support water conservation by reducing the need for frequent watering.

In another step toward circular sustainability, we also repurpose used rubber tyres into durable, weather-resistant furniture for gardens, balconies, and indoor spaces. This effort helps prevent tyre burning—a major source of toxic emissions such as carbon monoxide, sulfur oxides, and volatile organic compounds—while giving waste a second life through functional and stylish design.

Together, these initiatives align strongly with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 15 (Life on Land).
