In India 150,000 out of 450,000 road accident victims die annually, the highest number of casualties worldwide. There are 47 road accidents every hour and one death every four minutes. A new MVAA was enforced in September 2019 attempting to make Indian roads a safer place for both pedestrians and drivers.
Health
Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all from all ages. India has a rich, centuries old heritage of medicine and health sciences. Our history traced to the vedic times deals in holistic treatment. India with a current population of 14,05,013,751 has a per capita expenditure on health of Rs.2097. Over 80 per cent of the current government health expenditure ( 2.1.% of the GDP) is on primary and secondary health care.
Environment
Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystem, sustainable, manage forests, combat desertification and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss. Environmental issues are one of the primary causes of diseases, health issues and long term livelihood impact for India.
